Your child is gravely ill.  He or she is emergently admitted to the hospital.  As the chaos and fear of losing your child grip you, there is no time to pack a bag.  As you approach your first night in the hospital, you wish for a facewipe, a chapstick, maybe a mint.  As you approach your second night, you wish for a shower, something to pull your hair back, or just deodorant.  However, none of these things matter enough to leave your child and grab any of these essentials at home.

But then a little bag arrives from the Pediatric floor staff.  Filled with all those little comforts that you so need.  They give you a lift, they refresh your body....and your soul.  Just when you thought the world was against you, someone, somewhere out there, took the time to give you a little hope and love.

This is what "a little ELLAgance" is about.  Providing essentials in a desperate time of need.  Providing hope when it may be all that's left to hold onto.

Our little ELLAgance bags are created with love by volunteers.  Volunteers who collected items from a trip, a girl scout collection, or gave directly to this cause.  Other volunteers assembled bags, tied bows, or attached an inspirational message.  Some bags are even created by children's groups or schools.
